Commercial Windows
Commercial window replacement, installed by the crew that measured it
Offices, storefronts, apartment buildings and light industrial space across the Chicago suburbs. We field measure every opening, bid it line by line, and work to a schedule that keeps your building open.

What We Install
Commercial glazing is not one product. What your building needs depends on the opening, the code that applies to it and how hard the assembly gets used.
Storefront and Curtain Wall Glazing
Aluminum storefront systems for ground-floor retail and office entrances, including the frames, the glazing and the hardware that gets used a few hundred times a day.
- Thermally broken aluminum frames
- Insulated glass units, clear or tinted
- Tempered glazing where code requires it
- Door closers, pulls and panic hardware
Multi-Family and Mid-Rise Replacement
Unit-by-unit window replacement for apartment buildings, condominiums and senior housing, sequenced so residents are out of their homes for as little time as possible.
- Per-unit scheduling and resident notices
- Openings closed the same day they are opened
- Matching frames across elevations
- Association and board documentation
Light Industrial and Warehouse
Replacement of failed or single-pane units in shops, warehouses and service buildings, including the awkward openings that were never a standard size to begin with.
- Field measured, made to the opening
- Fixed, awning and hopper configurations
- Impact and safety glazing options
- Work staged around production
How a Commercial Job Runs
Walk and Measure
We walk the building with you, count and field measure every opening, and note the ones that are not standard before anything is quoted.
Written Bid
You get a line-item bid: the product, the opening count, the labour and the disposal, so it can be compared against another bid line for line.
Scheduled to Your Hours
We agree the sequence before we order. Retail gets worked outside trading hours, occupied units get a per-unit schedule, and nothing is opened that we cannot close that day.
Install and Walk Through
Our crews install, seal and finish, then walk the completed work with you. Anything on the punch list gets closed out before we invoice the final.
Questions We Get From Property Owners
Do you subcontract the installation?
No. The crews that install your windows work for us. Dave Sonner has run this trade since 1993, and the crew on your building is the crew we train and stand behind.
Can you work outside our business hours?
Yes, and for retail and restaurant work we usually do. We agree the working window before the order is placed, because it changes the crew size and the sequence, and we would rather price it honestly up front than surprise you.
How do you handle occupied apartments?
Unit by unit, with written notice to residents ahead of time. An opening we start in the morning is closed and weather-tight the same day. We do not leave a resident with plastic over an opening overnight.
Are you licensed and insured for commercial work?
Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation, and we provide certificates naming your entity as additional insured before we start. If your property manager needs specific limits or wording, send it with the bid request.
Will you bid against other contractors?
Regularly. Our bids are line-itemed so you can compare them fairly. If another bid comes in lower, we will tell you honestly whether it is a different product, a different scope, or a better price.
Send us the building
Tell us the property type and roughly how many openings you are looking at. We will walk it, measure it and come back with a written, line-itemed bid.
